I decided to wrap my ribbons onto wooden clothes pins after seeing Nicole Heady's blog yesterday. It was really easy to do and takes up a lot less space than keeping them on the spools. In the first picture, I have 40 rolls of ribbon. The second picture shows them all stored in the glass cookie jar. I don't know if this new storage solution will make me use my ribbons more, but boy, it sure is CUTE!

The BIG catch...
It was a great weekend for my oldest son Travis! Friday night he went ice fishing with a buddy and caught this 11# Northern. He was so excited.
Then on Saturday, he woke up early and he and a friend went to a lake to do some spearing. He came home with this beauty, a 15# Northern!
A fishermans dream.

A little birdie...
I got this card design layout after seeing a card that Lauren Meader made. The stamp is from the set "feather flourish" by Stampendous. I designed the phrase on my computer and then cut it out using my CM circle cutter. The layer behind it was made using my marvy punch. I left the inside blank so that I can use it for any occasion. Just a few ideas would be ...that you are expecting. ....that it's your b-day. ...that you got accepted into college. ...that you passed your drivers test. ...that you got engaged. And the list goes on and on!
More Monkeying Around...
I've been having so much fun with this stamp set! When I originally decided to purchase it, I thought it would make cute baby cards and young children cards. But then the more I looked at it, I thought maybe, just maybe I could make cards for older people too, without it looking too childish. Here are 2 more of my attempts.
This first card I made to give my husband for Valentine's Day. The inside reads "Hey Valentine, feel like monkeying around?" I added a small paper flower to the girl monkey's hair. At first I was going to stamp "Happy Valentine's Day" somewhere on the front of the card but couldn't come up with a spot that looked just right, kwim? So I pulled out my ribbon that I bought at the Target $ Spot and thought "perfect!" Doesn't that ribbon look so cute?
This second card is a Birthday card. I figure it would work for a child or teen. I didn't have any ribbon that said "happy birthday" so I made my own! This is the first time I've stamped on ribbon and it worked really nice. It looks a bit blurry in the picture but in person, it's nice and crisp.
